Health Secretary
In exclusive, EL HERALDO revealed a corruption network in Health secretary that wasted thousand of Lempiras, intended to prevent dengue. According to documents held by EL HERALDO, employees and heads of unit, falsified bills of expenses during tours in different cities in the country. Roxana Araujo was the minister at that time.
Arrested 10 gang members
Inter institutional National Security Force arrested 10 active members of Salvatrucha gang, in different cities of Honduras. National Force raided houses in some neighborhoods of Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula y Comayagua. Gang members are suspected of several crimes like drug dealer, killings and extortion.
Recommend eat bugs
A National Autonomous Honduras University (UNAH) biologist recommended to eat bugs to supply the nutritional deficiencies in Honduran people. The expert said that bugs are a great source of proteins and more affordable of meat and chicken.
TIGRES unit in Lepaterique
President Juan Orlando Hernández set up actions or Troop Research and Special Response Group Security (TIGRES in Spanish), in Lepaterique, Francisco Morazán, to 24.48 miles farther from Tegucigalpa.
