TEGUCIGALPA, HONDURAS.- En los próximos 15 años, el Parque Nacional La Tigra, uno de los tesoros naturales de Honduras, perderá el 20% de su área debido al descuido humano.
Expertos en conservación forestal han alertado sobre la creciente deforestación y la actividad humana no regulada en la zona, que está llevando a la pérdida de la biodiversidad y la degradación del hábitat de innumerables especies de plantas y animales.
Destacando que esta prodigiosa superficie de pino hace que miles de capitalinos tengan agua en su hogar, pues, es una de las fuentes principales de los recursos hídricos para los ciudadanos.
