TEGUCIGALPA, HONDURAS.-La presidenta Xiomara Castro recibió formalmente la invitación de Xi Jinping, su homólogo de China, para visitar el gigante asiático luego de pactar relaciones diplomáticas el 26 de marzo.
La noticia fue confirmada por Manuel Zelaya Rosales, asesor de la mandataria, quien detalló que desde Casa Presidencial están haciendo las gestiones para hacer oficial la fecha del viaje.
“Ya se tiene la invitación formal y firmada por Xi Jinping y se van a definir la fecha del viaje con la presidenta y el canciller”, dijo Zelaya.
Castro y Jinping se reunirán en Pekín y definirán proyectos de cooperación entre ambas naciones, además de otras reuniones que la jefa de Estado hondureña programe durante su estadía.
La presidenta también tiene estipulado realizar un viaje a Estados Unidos donde visitará los centros de detención de migrantes en la frontera con México.
